James, in town on business from Houston, had some time Saturday before catching a flight home so we hit the Bow River for a half day trip. We were on the water by 6:30 AM and managed to get about 6 hours on the water. Fishing was very slow today which was very surprising, considering how well the river has been fishing lately. We stopped and fished a few runs more thoroughly without success. During the course of the drift we threw a wide variety of flies at the fish. By days end, James landed a rainbow trout and a whitefish and lost a couple of others. Hopefully James will have an opportunity to get on the Bow when the fish are a little more cooperative.
