Floated Bow River today from Policemans' to McKinnons' Flats with Hunter, vacationing from San Antonio, and his grandfather, Roger. The river was running high and fast today. No doubt some was the result of melt water from the heavy snowfall we had on Thursday but it looks like most of it was water being released from Glenmore Reservoir in anticipation of a heavy rainfall forecast for Sunday. Visibility above the Highwood was about a foot and a half.

The Highwood was coming in very muddy so visibility deteriorated somewhat after the confluence. We tried a variety of flies and streamers today. The most productive flies were for us were the chenille and wire worms. Fishing was quite slow for us today with the exception of some steady action just after 1:00. We landed two or three browns and a couple of rainbows including this healthy rainbow trout that Hunter took on a tan chenille worm.
