Corporate Fishing Trip on the Bow

August 16

Today's outing was a 6 boat corporate trip for a company out of Saskatchewan. All of our clients were new to fly fishing and all had a great evening on our four hour drift from Grave's Landing to Fish Creek Park. The weather was perfect and caddis flies were on the water for much of the drift. Juliana spent the evening in my boat and caught on to fly fishing very quickly. Her first ever fish on a fly rod was this fat Rocky Mountain white fish, taken on a bead head prince nymph, that she played perfectly. Juliana followed up this catch with a nice sized rainbow trout taken on an elk hair caddis. We had a few more hits and two or three more fish on before our evening on the Bow ended as the sun was setting.
